16-CAROLINA FASTPITCH NEWS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

June 13th 2006

I will be updating a little this summer and will get in much more in the fall.

For now I would like to say thanks to everyone for taking me in, showing trust and confidence, and supporting Carolina Fastpitch , as I made the huge transition from teaching in South Carolina to North Carolina.

apparently I hurt my back during the move to NC, so I am a little more stiff and sore than usual.

I still have lots of equipment in storage. I will try to get to it for application, or replace it.

The girls are coming along. Many are doing things I thought would take us until spring 2007, at least. We have a very long ways to go , but I know we can do it. The upcoming Babe Ruth All Stars will give us some insight as to how we are doing. The district tournament in Newport will showcase about 30 girls in the program. I am impressed with how far they have come, so soon, but I also know that we will look lots better next year and the year after.Progress was apparent last weekend at the state qualifier, as the Wave out of Newport finished second and the EC Heat out of Swansboro finished first, in the 16 and under. The Fury , out of Newport finished second in Wilminton in May.

Well I will try to update before the end of June and that one should include some drills. See you on the ball field.
